On Monday, 11 June 2012, Dr Bessam Farjo - co-founder of the Farjo Medical Centre and Medical Director of the Institute of Trichologists – welcomed over 11,000 viewers to the UK’s first live broadcast of hair transplant surgery.
Ex-England footballer, Michael Gray, took part in this groundbreaking initiative – giving members of the public unprecedented access to the procedure.
Dr Farjo invited members of the public to join the conversation and take part in a real-time Twitter Q&A with both doctor and patient.
Anyone with a question or comment could simply use the hashtag #livetransplant or tweet @BessamFarjo and @MickyGray33 directly, during what was a first for the hair transplant industry.
